Daytime average temps are 68-72F. In winter the desert can get cold after the sun goes down. After a sunny day, night time temps can drop down to 45F - so bring a jacket.

We suggest you bring a refillable water bottle, sunscreen and an insulated bag or cooler. Even in winter the desert is a dry climate. You will need to keep your lunch cool for the Saturday lecture and the visit to Joshua Tree National Park.

Oui! There is room for several trailers at the event hotel. Please contact us if you are bringing a trailer so we can ensure there is space for you.

Non! You do not need to stay at the hotel. However Caliente Tropics is where most of the participants will stay and park their car. We will also depart from the resort as a group for some of our events.

They open at 6:30am. 5 minute walk from the hotel.
Kreem - Artisanal ice cream with unique flavors. Coffee is served when they open at 8am. 5 minute walk from the hotel.
